Amrom

Sax, Clarinet & Bass Clarinet

A young and up-and-coming tenor saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist, Amrom is making his way into the New York jazz scene. Having played at prestigious clubs such as The Blue Note and Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola and studied under some of the great masters of music (Eric Alexander, John Riley, and Kenny Washington), Amrom Svay is a name to look out for. Having the opportunity to perform alongside Jon Faddis and Gary Smulyan, he is steeped in the tradition of the music but has his ears open to the future.
In addition to his artistic merit, Amrom is a notable music educator. The Assistant Jazz Director to the celebrated Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts, Amrom is making an impact unique to his generation. He is shaping and enriching the lives of young individuals as a strong and supportive mentor. Amrom has been a dedicated teacher for over seven years. In his private teaching studio, he covers jazz improvising, musical theory, and classical repertoire saxophone, clarinet, and flute students. An articulate clinician and lecturer, Amrom Svay is a rising artist and educator who would love to perform at your next event.
